After gathering years of data and feedback from our World Cup Downhill and Enduro World Series athletes, the Shorty was redesigned. The knob layout has been altered to improve wet traction, cornering performance, and mud shedding abilities. The narrower 2.40" casing improves frame and fork clearance for when things get really sloppy and reduces weight.
3C MAXXGRIP
Maxxis' 3C MaxxGrip compound uses the stickiest, slowest rebounding rubber we offer in a mountain bike tyre. This high traction compound is the same one used by our top World Cup Downhill and Enduro World Series athletes and is now available in a variety of casing configurations to cover all riders.

DOUBLE DOWN (DD)
DoubleDown (DD) is our casing solution for enduro racing and e-bike use. Two layers of our lightweight 120 TPI casing material are combined with a butyl sidewall insert to create a highly durable tire with more trail feedback than a Downhill casing tire. DoubleDown tyres are marginally lighter than their Downhill counterparts, but it's really the difference in "trail feel" that sets the two apart. Some riders may prefer the highly damped ride provided by a Downhill casing tyre.
TUBELESS READY
Tubeless ready tyres provide the rider with many benefits: the ability to run lower air pressures, which improves traction; lower rolling resistance when compared to a tube-type tyre; and less chance of flatting because there is no tube. Tubeless ready tyres are denoted by the letters 'TR' on the sidewall.
WIDE TRAIL
Wide Trail (WT) construction optimizes the tyre's tread layout and profile on today's modern, wider rims. Historically, tyres were designed around older, narrower rims which can create an overly square tyre profile, leading to suboptimal performance. Our Wide Trail (2.40-2.50" width) tyres are optimized for a 35mm inner rim width but are proven to work over a range from 30-35mm inner rim widths, depending on the rider's preference.

Standard UK postage if Free for items £20 or over sent via Royal Mail 48 service. Postage for orders under £20 is £3.99.
We send all orders as quickly as we can which is normally the same working day if ordered before 3pm (Monday to Friday excluding Bank Holidays). Small packages are sent using Royal Mail First Class, Tracked 48 and Special Delivery for higher value items. Bulkier items like Wheels, Frames and Home Trainers are sent with one of our couriers either DPD or DHL. All orders are fully insured and most will require a signature on delivery. Standard delivery is 1-2 working days. Order places over the weekend or on Bank Holiday will be sent with our next working day collection.

Depending on the size and weight of the item and your postal location we send with Royal Mail Special Delivery 1pm our Courier DPD or DHL on their 24 hour service. Remote Highland and Island locations may not be guaranteed next working day.
International shipping rates are calculated by the weight and value of the items and the country they are being shipped to. To get a shipping quote just add the items to your basket and use the Shipping Estimator at the bottom of the basket page to calculate the shipping rates to your country. Depending on weight and value of your order we send with Royal Mail Standard Airmail, Signed For or Tracked service. Standard delivery time is 5-15 working days for most European countries and 5-25 working days for most other countries.
We offer DHL Express as a much quicker delivery option for Europe, US and Worldwide. Most of Europe and USA is 1-2 working day delivery. Other countries 2-4 working days.
Please be aware that Import Duties, Local Taxes and Courier handling fees may be payable when importing into most countries. The UK is no longer part of the European Union so import charges will be due when shipping to most countries.
We accept most major credit and debit cards along with PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay through our secure checkout process.
